Paul Rand and Alvin Lustig Collab

Here’s an interesting book cover designed by Paul Rand. The interesting thing about this is that Alvin Lustig hired Rand to design this cover  while the interior design and typography was done by Alvin Lustig. This brings two great designers together. Such a fun and modern cover. Enjoy!

IBM Packaging by Paul Rand

You can never go wrong with Paul Rand. Here’s a beautiful colorful example of IBM’s packaging for Film Ribbons and Carbon Paper. Love the contrast of the handwritten font against the bold IMB type. Oddly enough, I found the carbon paper mingling through my dad’s office one day. Still wrapped. Enjoy!

Update: Typedeck did some search and dated this product to mid 60’s. Thanks Typedeck!

Paul Rand for Westinghouse

Here’s an awesome packaging designed by Paul Rand that I found the other day. I’ve seen some of this on his website but definitely not in hot pink. It’s very cool, it has a slip cover and the inside has graphics too (see bottom image). So clean.

It is an honor to have these photos now featured on www.paul-rand.com

Paul Rand – A look At Architecture

Just a cool book I found designed by Paul Rand. Very nice typography.!
First twenty and last twenty pages are printed on gray colored paper, the entire book is black and white (except the cover).
