IBM Packaging by Paul Rand

You can never go wrong with Paul Rand. Here’s a beautiful colorful example of IBM’s packaging for Film Ribbons and Carbon Paper. Love the contrast of the handwritten font against the bold IMB type. Oddly enough, I found the carbon paper mingling through my dad’s office one day. Still wrapped. Enjoy!

Update: Typedeck did some search and dated this product to mid 60’s. Thanks Typedeck!

Strauss Record Cover by Jerome Snyder

Here’s another amazing record cover designed by the wonderful Jerome Snyder. This one is for the Philadelphia Orchestra. As usual the complexity of his textures and patterns is beyond belief. Truly a work of Mid Century Modern Art. Enjoy!

Kiss Me Kate – Broadway Musical Booklet c1953

Here’s a booklet for the Broadway musical play titled “Kiss Me Kate” with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The designer is not credited but I love the type and those colorful diamond shapes that were very popular around that era. Enjoy!
