Here’s a packaging for 3M’s sandpaper. You know it’s old when you look at the logo. If I am right, this logo was designed by Gerald Stahl and Associates in 1961. See 3M’s Logo History This logo was changed in 1978 typeset in Helvetica which is what we see now days.
There’s a typeface being sold by FontBros called Plumbers Gothic inspired by this same logo. This logo is also featured in Logo RIP.
