Here’s an interesting brochure for the Rhine Falls in Switzerland. It definitely has that Swiss style. I love the condensed typeface as well as the bright overprint purple color. Unfortunately, no design credits. The only credit I see reads, Fotos: Müller, Neuhausen am Rheinfall. Enjoy!

I haven’t featured packaging in a while so here’s a fun one. It’s for Avery Label Company. I love the white space, solid colors, bold type and that bar of circles on the left is ace. The designer and year is unknown but I do know that the Avery logo was beautifully redesigned by the great Saul Bass in 1990 so from the printing I and aging I can see on this piece, I’d say it’s from the 60’s but that’s just my guess. In any case, I hope you enjoy this post!
Fun fact: there’s a logo on the back that reminds me of the Krispy Kreme logo but it says Kum-Kleen, does that sound weird?

Here are my new business cards. They were letterpressed by Dependable Letterpress in San Francisco. I worked with them before and they always do great jobs. The cards were printed on 179lb Cranes cover stock with 3 colors on the front (1 being just a hint) I was debating between a transparent foil stamp or a blind deboss for the background shape, but decided to go with a hint of color because I wasn’t finding the right foil. The edging wasn’t done by them. I actually needed them asap and that would have taken longer because it’d be outsourced so I just did a test for myself with a few of them.
Then I went on a press check and snapped some photos of the behind the scenes of the printing part. It’s always amazing to see that old machine go at it so precise. Hope you enjoy this post.

Here’s a very fun map illustrated by Eric Johnson in 1955 for Sonora Pass Vacationland, Inc. (Tuolumne County, CA). There’s fishing, Hunting, Skiing, Camping, and packing vacations. Love the illustrations and fun type on the cover as well as the map inside. Enjoy!

Here’s an Erik Nitsche designed 10″ LP for Decca Gold Label Series. It is an Stravinsky/Hindemith LP conducted by Thomas Scherman and played by the Little Orchestra Society. It has some spot varnishes that were hard to capture on photo but I really like how abstract and organic this piece is. Enjoy!

This is a Penn Reels, Super Peer, Level Wind, Fishing Reel. 309M. Love the fishes. As you can see on one side they are swimming and on the other they’ve already been caught. Did you get that? anyway, enjoy!
